2015-2016 Programs

Unless otherwise noted, programs are open to the public and begin at 1:30 PM on Wednesdays at the Topsham Public Library (25 Foreside Road).  The public is welcome to join members beforehand at 12:00 noon at the bring-your-own lunch and business meeting.  Desserts and coffee are provided by the Club.

Details of off-site programs, including arrangements for car pooling, will be announced closer to the program date.

2015 Programs

April 8 - Quiche and Salad Celebratory Pot-Luck Luncheon, followed by Annual Meeting and Installation of Officers

May 6 - "Pruning Techniques" with Kyle Rosenberg from Forest to Shore Tree and Landscape Services.  For more information, click here .

June 3 - "Gardeners' Fitness: Weeding out the Aches & Pains" with a panel of speakers from the Mid Coast Medical Group Orthopedic Therapy Center in Brunswick.  For more information, click here.

July 15  (Note: Third Wednesday, not second) (July 16 raindate) - Field trip (4-5 hours) to Barred Owl Daylilies in Otisville, Maine with lunch at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, Maine.  For more information, click here

August 12 - Members-only picnic on Orr’s Island.

September 9 - "The Many Rooms of my Garden," a photographic journey with Bob Metivier from Dust of the Earth Pottery.  For more information, click here

October 14 - “Maine Wildflowers, from the Usual to the Unusual” with Marianne & Perry Heinrich.  For more information, click here

November 4 (Note: First Wednesday, not second) - "Terrariums" with Stan Wakely, Manager of the Urban Garden Center in Topsham, Maine

December 9 - Members-only Christmas Pot-luck Party and Auction


2016 Programs

 ​January 13 - "Hydrangeas: Literally from A to Z...Species and Their Cultivars and How to Grow Them" with Jeff O'Donal from O'Donal's Nursery, Gorham, Maine

February 10 - "Travel the World through Backyard Gardens" with Irene Brady Barber of Greenscapes Design in South Durham, Maine.  For more information, click here.
